On April 9th, Shenzhen International Symposium on Graphene Industry was held in the Exhibition Hall of Guangming District, Shenzhen. As the advisory body, CIGIU was invited to attend the symposium. The purpose of the symposium was to discuss the applied technology of graphene industrialization, and focused on the application of 5G information technology, electronics and microelectronics, advanced manufacturing industry and new energy industry.
(Shenzhen International Symposium on Graphene Industrialization)
Wang Zhaowen, Permanent Vice Chairman of CIGIU, Counsellor of People's Government of Guangdong Province, Executive Chairman of the Federation of Shenzhen Industries, said that it is important to introduce innovative resources for development, seize opportunities for international cooperation, to further build a world-class science city and the northern center of Shenzhen with outstanding competitiveness and influence. CIGIU will give full play to its advantages in international resources to contribute to the construction of the science city of Shenzhen. At the same time, CIGIU will actively cooperate with Professor Xiao Xiaoyue in promoting the practical plan to rapidly transform scientific research achievements into productive forces.
Gu Yan, executive vice chairman of CIGIU, chairman of Matrass-C Graphene, proposed that, to develop graphene industry, we must take into account the large-scale and low-cost industrial preparation of graphene powder and the stable supply of graphene raw material and mineral resource, which is determined by graphite’s different properties.
Ruan Ruxiang, permanent vice chairman of CIGIU, put forward that 5G mobile communication is no longer a single wireless access technology, but a variety of new and existing wireless access technologies, featuring low latency, high reliability and low power. Because of the significant increase in transmission rate, frequency and signal intensity, smart phones will face new changes in their components from core chips to radio frequency devices, and from body material to internal structure. Mobile terminals and base stations have a large incremental demand for electromagnetic shielding and thermal conductive products. The upgrade trend of stacking process can bring a significant increase in the value of single machine, and further promote the market size of electromagnetic shielding and thermal conductivity industry to achieve exponential growth after the arrival of 5G era. Compared with traditional materials such as aluminium alloy and copper alloy, high performance graphene composite is characterized by light weight, high thermal conductivity, high radiation coefficient and good processability. All these determine that graphene is the only ideal solution to electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation problems.
Academician Andre Geim, discoverer of graphene, Nobel Prize winner in physics and professor at the university of Manchester, UK, gave a profound lecture on graphene heat management technology. Professor Xiao Xiaoyue, senior adviser of CIGIU and president of Qingdao DT Nanotechnology Co., Ltd., introduced the key points of the project as "The Industrialization of Graphene Lightweight Thermal Management Technology in 5G Information Technology", and conducted technical exchanges with representatives of graphene enterprises from home and abroad on the application of graphene industrialization, so as to provide suggestions for the development of graphene industry.

CIGIU has always been committed to building an international cooperation platform for graphene industrialization and transforming scientific and technological achievements. Through the combination of graphene and 5G information technology of mobile terminal, CIGIU will integrate existing resources, and inject new momentum into the development of Shenzhen's high-tech industry, to further promote the internationalization of China's graphene industry. The 2019 European Graphene Congress, jointly organized by CIGIU and the Organizing Committee of the European Graphene Congress, will be held in Rome, Italy, from 25 to 28 June 2019. CIGIU will organize a senior delegation of Chinese graphene industry to visit Rome and Manchester University in late June, to help domestic companies enter the foreign markets, raise visibility, learn foreign advanced technology and seek high-quality projects.
